I am an Integrative Psychotherapist with 10 years’ experience. I have worked with a range of issues including abuse, anxiety, bereavement, cultural issues, depression, child related issues, loss of direction, men’s issues, psychosis, personal development post- traumatic stress, relationship and family difficulties, low self -esteem, sexuality, women’s issues and work related issues.
My work experience is varied. For the past six years I have been providing individual and group psychotherapy to refugees and victims of trafficking. I have worked with this client group at the Helen Bamber Foundation and also at Room to Heal, where I set up and ran the women’s therapeutic programme providing one to one and group counselling. Before this I spent four years as a psychotherapist at SPACE Counselling Centre and as a mental health consultant for the Department of Health and the World Health Authority (WHO).
I also worked for a year in Cambodia designing training courses for counsellors working in both Cambodia and Africa. I have extensive experience of providing therapy with interpreters.
I work with young adults and adults.
